Comb of a cock: sinus capillaries and epidermis
The epidermis is very thin but all layers are present (stratum corneum and stratum germinativum, consisting of a stratum basale, intermedium and transitivum).
The sinus capillaries derive from blood vessels of the central layer that pass through the intermediate layer and form an anastomosing network just underneath the epidermis. The size of the capillaries increases going outward.
